Chinook Lake: Very Good - The lake is an outstanding recreational area, and has a great pathway system for hiking of all ages. There is a small beach and some wooded areas around the lake to just relax and unwind. Chinook Lake Campground: Poor - The campground is split into two different loops, where I had friends staying in both loops.

The campground was busy but quiet with very large trees and lots of privacy. While the small main beach was busy, the lake was a beautiful 2 km hike around with plenty of spots to stop to take a dip in the cool, clear water. We did not use the washrooms as we were in a trailer.

We came to chinook because of the fires and fire bans in the BC Parks. We were very impressed with this area and love bed the campground and lake! Lots of spots and we stayed in the tenting area, the sites were very secluded. The lakeside sites were great if you got one. The lake, hiking and biking was fantastic!
